Meet Your Instructor:
Our founder and head instructor, Sensei Philip Allain, is a highly qualified Black Belt with membership in the Okinawa Karate-Do Federation (OKF). He is a recognized member of the National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA), and has spent over 40 years completing numerous courses in martial arts including North American Karate, Japanese Karate and Okinawan Karate.
As a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO), he received in-service training offered by the municipal, provincial and federal Law Enforcement agencies in unarmed and armed-combat techniques. In past years, he has also participated in internationally recognized self-defense systems such as REACT (England), Krav Maga (Israel), Ghost Fist (USA), and The S.P.E.A.R. System (Canada and USA).
After more than a decade in police services here in Ontario (as an undercover operator, plain-clothes detective, and uniformed patrol officer), Sensei Allain decided to follow his teacher’s directive and established Blue Dragon Martial Arts to share his knowledge of Karate, fitness and self-defense.
